With summer winding down, it’s time to embrace our favorite season, fall! We love when the temps cool off, the leaves change colors, and everyone heads back to the classroom. Okay, so recess still may be our favorite subject, but that doesn’t mean that getting back to school isn’t exciting. This year, the back to school routine may look a little different, but we’re here to help!
Back to School in 2020
Alright, so who would have thought that going back to school in 2020 would be such a controversial topic? Of course, learning is important, it’s how society and you grow! Some of us are anxiously returning to the physical classroom, while others are engaging in online learning.
Either way, we’ve got to stay safe. This means washing hands, wearing masks, and taking care of our mental health. Getting outdoors after your challenging math homework or making time to play sports with a couple of friends is a great way to boost your mood. Our Anaheim Canvas Backpacks are designed to go with you wherever life’s adventure awaits. From your favorite science lab to the great outdoors, a well-designed canvas bag comfortably carries all of your must-haves, so you don’t get stuck indoors.
Why Learning is Important
Right now, so many people are in a debate about learning. What’s the best way to go back to school during a pandemic? The reason this is such a hot-button topic is simply that learning is important. Without education, we don’t have progress. There is no discovery, new thought, budding ideas, or innovation.
These are the basic ingredients that solve the great world issues like climate change, sustainability, conservation, and more. School might seem trivial at times, but it isn’t. If you find yourself struggling to engage, find a way to mix your favorite things with school. For example, if you’re studying science and you love mountains, why not choose a project that teaches you about the climate of mountain environments? If you’re into sports, choose a math project that highlights sports statistics. Keep learning fun by combining your interests to uncover something meaningful in the world.
How to Learn from Home
Some of us won’t be returning to the classroom next year and that can be tough. School is just as much about being in the classroom with friends and teachers than it is about that big English paper. There are many ways to learn at home, but here are a few helpful tips to make this unique school year a little less painful:
- Set up a dedicated learning space. Try to make it free of distractions. Turn off your phone and put away the video games.
- Set aside dedicated learning time. If you have self-driven learning activities, choose the time of day you’re most productive and hammer out your work.
- Give yourself a reward for completing your schoolwork. This can be as simple as getting outside for a bike ride or hanging out with friends.
- Make it fun. Have a friendly competition with friends or siblings. See who can get their work done first or have group sessions to share what you’ve learned. Socialization is a part of daily school life so don’t forget to connect with friends.
This school year may be one of the most unique in history, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a rocking good year that’s filled with plenty of fun. This school year get ready for new and innovative ways to learn and interact with your friends and classmates.
