The Comfortlite Cushion

The Comfortlite Cushion

Have you ever finally made it to a killer viewpoint on the trail and realized you didn’t have anything comfy to sit on? Or went to the lake and realized you only had your soaking wet towel to sit on? Maybe you improvised and sat on your jacket, or found a flat-ish rock, but most of the time you’re stuck wondering why you didn’t pack anything to sit on and be able to fully enjoy the view or be comfortable. Well, not anymore! TETON Sport’s lightweight, compact, self-inflating cushion is the perfect packable seat for your next outing.

On a perfectly cloudy fall day in the PNW, we headed out to our favorite trailhead and I packed along my TETON Sports stadium seat to try out. Its compact shape made it super easy to stuff into any daypack. After a few miles, we came to a beautiful open field and decided to take a break and make some tea. I grabbed my stadium seat, quickly pulled it out of its bag, twisted the cap, and in a few breaths and a twist of the cap again it was ready!

I was so impressed by the size and cushion of this packable seat: it was thick and sturdy and wasn’t thin or flimsy like other inflatable seats I’ve tried. The thickness of the seat made it so you never felt the ground underneath you, so I stayed dry and comfortable! It was so nice to be able to sit on something soft and warm while we made our tea and looked at the gorgeous fall leaves.

When we were ready to head back, I was able to easily twist the cap, fold it in half, and roll out the air to get it back into its bag. Super quick and easy!

The stadium seat is a great addition to your day hike or backpacking supplies. It barely takes up any space, is easy to use, and the reward of having a nice place to sit after a long hike is the best. Plus, you can use this seat cushion anywhere! You can use it while driving, at a sports game, around a campfire, at the beach—you can even use it as a pillow or a dog bed if needed. It’s so versatile and can be packed into any bag; it’s definitely a must-have for your next outdoor adventure.
