It’s time to trade in your tent for a cabin in the woods. While summer lake hangs are long gone, it doesn’t mean outdoor adventure has to stop. Snowshoe to a gorgeous lake covered in fresh snow, or spend the evening hiking through misty forests. But, leave the tent at home, and book yourself a classic Pacific Northwest cabin. Not sure where to start? No problem. We’ve rounded up our favorite Pacific Northwest cabins to stay in this winter. And yes, we’ve included some that are dog-friendly!
Oregon
The Woodlands House
Escape to the woods and enjoy five-acres of pine trees and a seasonal creek at The Woodlands House. Soak in the hot tub after a long day of hiking in the Columbia River Gorge or playing in the snow at Mt. Hood. The greenhouse is available as an optional add-on for dinner parties.

If you’re looking for a place to recharge, the Heartland Treehouse may be the place for you. A quaint little one-room treehouse that has just what you need inside and has just what you want on the outside: a gorgeous porch looking over the forest and not one, but TWO outdoor bathtubs for you (and your honey) to enjoy. Can you imagine sitting in a warm bubble bath on a cool winter evening? Sounds spectacular. Nestled along the southern Oregon coast, you can unwind after exploring the numerous beaches to the sound of a babbling brook, under a canopy of trees.

If it’s a view that you’re after, the Mt Hood View Tiny House takes the cake. Slide open the large wall of windows and step out onto the porch to view Mt Hood in all her glory. The house sits on 23 acres, so you’ll feel like you’re out in the wilderness (even though you’re only a few miles from the highway!)

Tye River Cabin Co (Tye Haus, Sky Haus, Foss Haus)
Washington seems to be home to the classic PNW A-frame cabin, and Tye River Cabin Co has three amazing ones to choose from. Tye Haus, Sky Haus, and Foss Haus are all located in the Timberlane Village near Skykomish, Washington. These dog-friendly cabins are the perfect place to unwind after a long day of adventures in the Mt.Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Curl up with a good book, bake some cookies, and enjoy the vintage, off-grid feels of these Pacific Northwest-y cabins. Or, use them as a basecamp for your winter adventures. Need I say more?

Canyon Creek Cabins
Get lost in the green ferns that surround the three thoughtfully crafted cabins of Canyon Creek Cabins. Each one is so meticulously decorated to blend in with the surroundings, you’ll feel at home while laying on the couch or sitting on the porch, listening to the creek rush over the rocks. Or, use these cabins as a basecamp to the Cascades: Heather Lake, Lake Twenty-Two, and Gothic Basin are a short drive away.
