I purchased this bag a few years ago and have taken it on several mountaineering trips. Overall, I’m more than happy to recommend it to others! There is plenty of space of gear inside and outside, there are a ton of points to attach items, tie things down and more! I give this bag a solid B/B+ rating and do not hesitate recommending this to others.
However, these are the two points that keep me from giving this bag an A rating: side bottle pouches and lack of waist belt pockets. The water bottle pouches on the side are made from the same heavyweight material as the bag, but they are shallow and when the bag is full, it pushes your water bottles up and out of the pouch. They need to rip these stiff pouches off and replace them with the stretch-net type of material used by many others. The waist belt itself is firm and rides great on the hips, but a waist pocket would be great for storing energy chews, gummies, etc…
Overall, this is a very good bag and I recommend it. However, if these two things were switched/fixed, this bag would be a solid A+ bag.
