I purchased Dec.27th 2022, used it last night. It was nightmare, my sleeping bag got all soaked. Take look at the video that I attached it.TETON SportsJan 12, 2023
Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear that your rainfly is leaking. Thank you for making us aware of this issue. From the video, it looks as if the rainfly could be defective around the seam. If you haven't already, please reach out to our customer support team at firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate a warranty claim for the leaking rainfly. We'd be more than happy to help you out and get you set up with a rainfly that doesn't leak.
- TCT. C.Verified ReviewerI recommend this productRated 3 out of 5 starsAug 30, 2022Worked well until...
Kept the rain off well. Durability of some of the velcro patches is questionable, as a couple of them are loose with very few stitches holding them to rainfly. Worst though, on the fifth night of use, the door zipper bound up on the cover flap and could not be backed off and ondone. After multiple attempts, the zipper had to be forced to escape the tent. A half dozen teeth on the zipper are now ruined and the zipper end cant be threaded into the mechanism.TETON SportsSep 21, 2022
Thanks so much for your review and for choosing TETON products. We're sorry about your experience with our Vista Elite Rainfly. We'd love to get this repaired or replaced under our lifetime warranty policy. Could you reach out to our customer experience team at email@example.com? Happy camping!
- DHDavid H.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 starsJul 25, 2022Needed for the cot setup!
I set this up last week for 5 nights of camping. I was setup on a hillside and therefore couldn't fully stake or tie down the rainfly, but I made it work ok. I had the Vista tent on the Teton XXL cot. I dug the legs into the ground on the upside of the hill, and shimmed the bottom legs. Stayed completely dry during daily rain showers. The vestibule area was nice. I need to get some cord to tie the fly down properly.

This keeps my stuff dry under my camp cot...works well.
- GGlenI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 starsSep 6, 2023Use one stake
I have been using the vista 1 extended fly with vista 1 tent and outfitter cot for four years during various camp outs and elk hunts. It’s one of the best set ups for comfort I have used. I have read some complaints about the extended fly zipper sticking. I had this problem as well until I started staking down the fly corner where the zipper opens. This keeps the fly taught and allows for zipping and unzipping from inside tent without binding and causing you to bail out between the fly and tent. So use at least one stake and you will be a happy camper along with not ruining your zipper.

It's a must have if you utilize a cot with the Vista-1 tent setup. It allows for additional storage and keeps your cot dry. Highly recommend.

Door on rain fly does not line up with tent makes it hard to get in and out of does attach well to the tent and cot comboTETON SportsJul 5, 2023
Hi Jeremy. We're sorry that the rainfly isn't fitting properly with the tent. Could you please send photos of this to firstname.lastname@example.org as rainfly and tent are supposed to work well together and line up properly. We'd be happy to try sending you another rainfly in hopes that one fits better.
- JBJohn B.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 starsMay 14, 2023Perfect, but should come standard with the Vista-1 tent
If you use the Vista-1 tent on the ground with this rainfly (or if pitched on the XXL cot), the condensation issues which can arise in the Vista-1 tent can be virtually eliminated. Stake it out as far away as you can from the tent. The less contact it makes with the actual tent, the less chance of condensation occurring inside the tent. This adds more ventilation. It also adds considerable "vestibule" space when used on a ground-pitched Vista-1 tent.
This rainfly also eliminates the main negative issue when you pitch the Vista-1 on the Teton XXL cot. It prevents rain/snow from going under the tent, and accumulating on the cot under the tent.
This is an essential accessory for the Vista-1 tent. It should come standard, and the rainfly which currently comes with the Vista-1 should be eliminated.TETON SportsMay 15, 2023
Hi John! Thank you so much for your feedback on the Vista Tent and Elite Extended Rainfly. We've passed this along to our product design and development team as they're continuously working hard to make improvements to our gear.
- TMTim M.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 starsApr 26, 2023Simple and clever!
Love that this exists! As great as the original fly is, the result is that water finds its way under the tent of positioned on the cot. With this extended version… all problems solved. Tent and cot were nine dry after 9 hours of rain…

it really has gone through some nasty stuff already and I was not the least bit concerned.. warm and cozy!
I just wish it came in lighter gray or something not so bright.. finding it in the dark is no problem.
